Is that an old Willy's I see in the background? Love the camp set up. My wife has MS, and stepping in and out of a tent, is too much for her anymore.

Good eye, it's a Willys with a special body. It was one of about 530 or so built for the US Border Patrol.

The trailer next to it started life as a 40's pick up bed now it hauls my camping equipment, hauls my 300 gal tank to get water and I use it for game retrieval.

Hello there

If you are thinking of a holiday in Jersey, camping is the way to go. What more, rent a RV and holiday in style. For more info on renting RV and camping grounds, visit Ponderosa Campgrounds . We are kid friendly and cater to the needs of your little ones by arranging pirate playgrounds for them and keep them entertained.

What is a "chip tent"? If you mean cheap tents, try Walmart.

Stopping by to say hello. Most of my time is spent on the TC board as I have a 96 Caribou cab over. At 61 camping with a queen size bed is nice.

However I just bought a 76 Bronco to get Way off road here in Az.
Picked up a Napier 84000 Suv tent at Cabelas yesterday.

Planning on picking u a goal Zero 150 solar unit/battery to run my CPAP.

I have most of the camping gear required. This of course means I'm missing something.
Everything take has to fit on the roof rack. A large malamute and Husky will be traveling in the back. Any suggestions for a cover for the gear while heading down the highway?

Any thoughts on how to heat a tent? It does get pretty chilly in the rim country here in AZ in the winter. Plan on sleepin in the back of the Bronco so off the ground on an air mattress.

Looking for any and all suggestion's as it has been 30 years since I ventured out In a tent.

Ah yes tent camping! As many others posted here, I remember it well and have moved on. Still camping, but no tent. We wanted conveniences as old age sets in. To us tents camping always meant roughing it...until we saw this campsite on our last trip to St Andrews SP, FL. Check out the water cooler and fridge. Gotta love it!

Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!
