Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I ended up with four perfect seats from an Astro that turned in front of me several years ago. My truck was totalled and he didn't have insurance on the van so he gave me the van and paid me for my truck.

Sweet!

Well, not sweet that he totalled your truck, but still.

I got 4 seats from a local guy that was changing out the seats in his custom low-rider. The double armrest, lumbar in both set went into my '02 Astro that has 207,000 miles on it (the seats had been smooshed pretty good) and the other two will, with luck, go into the Concord. The passenger side shouldn't be a big deal, but the bathroom is right behind the driver's seat and might interfere with installing that seat. If we can't get that one installed, I'll put the one with lumbar on my side [emoticon]

I just got my first RV ever. It is a 1976 Dodge Xplorer 260. I am totally ignorant about this and I am planning on living in it full time while in school here in San Diego. Hopefully I will be able to save enough for something I can take all over the country, if this one doesn't work out. It only has 27k original miles on it and has been maintained - the guy has the records. So anyway, I will be here for support from y'all hope it's ok.

HI Nomadic and welcome, folks here can probably answer any question you can think of...

Leeann & Phantom, My old 74 has the seats from our 97 Dodge Caravan that was total when a guy turned in front of us. The drivers seat is a little tight against the bulkhead behind it but passenger side has plenty of room. They are manual but sure are more comfy than those 0ld short back originals.I had to replace the old bases with some I found in a early 90's dodge full size van, only down side is that they are enough larger that it makes it difficult to pull the doghouse..... such is the price of comfort.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Hi all. Really chomping at the bit to get out. Just turned 62 but alas still need to work. This is our tenth year with the Midas. Having a great time with her.

Happy trails to you all! [emoticon]

Welcome!

Ours is an A, Al...the doghouse cover flips up. The stupid bathroom wall is at an angle, closest at the bottom and furthest at the top. I think that makes it okay, but we'll have to see. I know we'll have to use adapter plates because these bases are aftermarket, but I'm okay with that. The bf is good with metal [emoticon]

The truck wasn't a big loss I was wanting something else anyway the good thing was no one was hurt. I hit him in the passenger door at a forward angle as he crossed in front of me and I was going about 50mph.

Anyway here is my drivers seat don't mind the mess we haven't done spring cleaning yet.

nomadic, nice looking seats.....

Leeann, Yeah I knew your situation is a little different... it was more of a challenge to get mine in than I thought it would be. Only bad thing about the bulkhead behind the drivers seat is I can't recline the seat. I didn't think the seats out of a Caravan would be that much bigger than the originals.... they sure are compy though, I can drive for 8-10 hours easy without any discomfort.

I'm looking forward to it, Al. My seat hurts me quite badly in half an hour. After an hour, I'm dying.

The Astro seats are good for at least 11 hours (the longest I've driven one so far).
