Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Here is my first motor home it is a '79 23' Robinhood. Originally had a 440 but the owner before last swap in a "built" 318 with headers and dual exhaust.
It's got bunks in the back.
We have taken it out once since we got it back in May. It went ok, we've got work to do.

Fuel gauge doesn't work.
Keeps throwing power steering belt/power brakes.
House heater doesn't work.
It has leaks.
and almost every fastener on the out side is rusted.
And I can take naps going up the pass. I am thinking of a re-power, possibly a diesel swap.

But... We still like it.

Nice.....I would like to see photos of the inside, I'm working on bunk beds in my old 79 now, I still have the 440 in mine but I would love a newer Cummings swap would be so cool.

Which Nationals? Softball or boat racing?

Oh, I forgot to tell you all: Trish said to shout out to all of you. She misses you [emoticon]

I do, indeed, miss all of you.

Leaks first, nerfherder. Leaks are the first and always fixes on a rig.

What wonderful things have I missed?

Trish

Glad to see you made it to a computer. Hope everyday feels better.

Oh... and here's my latest update. Pulled the fridge back out this afternoon. Works perfect on electric, but can't keep up on LP. Which is backwards of every other fridge I've owned. One day on LP and the fridge is up over 60 degrees easily.

We tried most everything we could, chimney, lp pressure, cleaned most everything, adjusted the diffuser height, even running it off a different tank. Finally the shop said bring it in. I'll let you know what I find... hopefully its not too much. I'm still unemployed, but have been gigging musically as of late so I have a few $$... but not very much and its still taking it from something else.

Eyeteeth,

If you haven't already taken it into the shop, here are some troubleshooting ideas

Let's see... The world didn't end, Vancouver got it backwards (you don't destroy your "own" city if you lose), we're trying to burn down Arizona south of Phoenix and the Dodgers REALLY SUCK this year. Other than that, not much. [emoticon]

Glad you're back Trish. WE MISSED YOU!!! Now take it easy until the doctor says so (or you get really tired of doing the PT thing with a wide eyed, bushy tailed hyper-active therapist.).

I need to get some pics of the inside still. I was thinking of a cummins 12v 6bt but it is too tall and long. So I'm thinking a 6.9l IDI with a turbo. Should have the same foot print as a 440.
We resealed the roof and I fixed a roof vent that was leaking but I think some side seams are leaking cause the top rear bunk is still getting wet.
