Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: Leeann on 06/12/11 07:14pm

The cab and chassis are Dodge Sportsman (Sportsman is the name Dodge gave to the half cab vans sold to RV manufacturers). The coach is Four Star Coach.

Measure bumper-to-bumper; that'll give you the length it was sold as when new.

I have run into similar issues. Will it fire at all? or just crank?

If it will fire for a second, but not stay running, Try the ballast resistor

If all it does is crank, try the ignition module.

So, after saying that, is there another thread that deals with appliances?

Try searching the Tech Issue forum for "stove" or "oven."

it's just cranking. replacing the ignition coil tomorrow, as well as the fuel pump. there was so much crud inside the filter, and dirt in the pump. i'm also replacing ALL fuel lines tomorrow (cheap fix). I can't get spark plug 1 on. I got it off, just gtting it on is a major pain. This is the one furthest into the engine on the driver's side. It wants to start, but then will just fall out. I can't get my hand in. I got a skinnier friend trying it out tomorrow lol. The previous spark plugs were BLACK and a couple had cracks in the porcelain, they fell apart as I took them out. They needed to be replaced.

DO GE tries so hard to start, if I can just get her started, I'll be in business. The engine only has 76k miles on it.

76 sunshine.... I wish I had your camper. lol

On an off noe, the business is even named after the camper. DO GE's (pronounced Dough Gheez)One of a kind sandwiches and frozen custard. you can guess why her name is DO GE.

I've had two MODULES go out on mine in the last two years. Worse yet, both times it was running, and then 'stalled' not to start again. Both times I thought it was flooded or something else. The second time it didn't take as long to figure out however. Haven't had a problem with the coil although I replaced mine.

Rebuilt the engine around 66,000.

Eyeteeth,

Is there a way you can test a module? What does it look like?
