If I could keep going, I would. I cannot.
I can't stand up long enough to take a shower and can barely walk.
Offspring call it shuffle'n'lean, as opposed to walking.

They are going to build a "cage" (L-4 to S-1) to will support the vertebrae and put them back into place. No use of synthetic discs, however, probably an insurance thing to keep down costs.
It's 2 hours, quite long. There is nerve involvement, bulging discs, and 2 vertebrae with no disc at all, causing pain and severe lack of motion.

Next week is all paperwork: deed, titles, new will, health declarations, the lot.
If anything untoward happens, there will be very good stuff for sale.
Leeann has my e-mail and Dan has hers.

Crap. I am really scared. Yesterday, the doc asked me if I wanted Xanax or Valium. Told him, can I have some for my cats.

Trish, I'm sorry to hear this...

You are in my prayers and thoughts, and in His hands...

Heard from Trish, in case she doesn't post. She's doing well and setting land speed records on her walker, thus avoiding a stint in a rehab center.

GO TRISH!!!

When I got my walker it didn't have wheels on the front... I never did figure out if it was because they wanted me to take it easy, or were afraid I take off down the road if they weren't looking [emoticon]

Today, I got a line on what may be one of the earliest production motorhomes every made.

If I have the history correct, Dodge made a few motorhomes in the 50's. Unlike most motorhomes, where the chassis is built by Dodge and the coach is built by someone else, these early prototypes were built entirely by Dodge.

The idea was, of course, ahead of its time and, around 1960, Dodge sold/spun off the production to a group that soon became Travco.

According to my buddy, an old-timer he knows has a very old motorhome he wants to get rid of. The motorhome has a 1953 VIN and a slant-six engine, two facts that match what I understand of the history. It's been a few years since my buddy saw it but he says it doesn't look like a conversion and appears to have been originally built as a motorhome.

Next week, we're going out there and look at it. The first thing I'm going to do is try to determine if it's original or a conversion.

My buddy also says the guy has an old Army-type tracked vehicle with a flathead inline eight cylinder Cadillac engine in it ... gotta love the weird things some of these Alaskan old-times have accumulated.

Griff, please get photos- even of the CadCrawler!! Up until now the Frank rigs were the oldest known Dodge-based rigs. This may be something quite unique, and if it is truly a factory built motorhome then it would predate the GM Motorhome by at least two decades...
