Hello,

As much as I hate to say it, I sold my 1976 TEC today. I had two great years out of it but decided I just need a Class B type van for my camping needs. It sold in just 9 days via CraigsList. I think the big selling point is that it is just 16 feet in the cab area. An elderly couple bought it.

I will miss it and always will remember it being my first RV. The users on this thread are awesome and I thank you all for the great information you gave me.

Who knows, maybe the Class B van I end up getting will be an older Dodge! [emoticon]

Thanks again,
goreds2

Hey,goreds2. Does that lil shorty have duals in the rear? I just came back from looking at a '76 that was short like that and it just had single wheels in the back. Man that thing was shorter than my 17' Falcon B was!

Hmmm...I've seen a couple of ads for older Dodges lately that said the boxes needed replaced because they "locked up when turned to the right". I'm sure yours is just loose and doesn't do that, right? Instead of a sub-par rebuilt, it might be better to get a low-miles used one. It's hard to tell about these old 5-digit odometer vehicles what the actual mileage is...although I know there are a lot of MH's out there that didn't get driven that much.

Yes, it has duals in the back.

Your right, mine is just a little loose. When I redo the tie rods, that may take care of the problem. At any rate, I can probably adjust the adjustment screw on the steering box for some added help too. I'll know more when I get to it. I may be asking for some advise here also. The low mileage boxes may be an option too.

Is this unit loaded in the rear, It looks to be to heavy in the rear.??

Part of that is the rear tires have an extra bit of molding over them, making it look like the body's sitting lower in back. Looks like it's sitting a little low in the back, but not much.

Yea I was looking at the front end it looks to be higher than it should be, It might just be the way the pixs was taken.
