Great news! Glad you are getting to have some fun.

Please don't forget about the batteries though. Make sure you have a system to keep them both charged at all times so you can continue to have fun without having battery problems.

Oh, and don't forget to check the water level in them at least every couple of months.

Thanks, another question as it shows how lazy I can be. [emoticon]

Can you charge the battery with the terminals on so I do not have to remove them?

See Picture In My Profile
I have a 1989 Dodge XPLORER RV Class B - Purchased 10/15/10 IN CASH
Fiance' purchased a Class C 2002 Dynamax Carri-go on 5/1/15 IN CASH
We've got the best of both worlds

Yes, of course. Consider that they are charged that way by the vehicle.

Be advised that you should wear safety glasses and rubber gloves. Attach the positive cable to the positive terminal first, then attach the neg cable to a ground away from the battery if you possibly can. This reduces the chance of a spark igniting any hydrogen gas that is emitted by the battery. In the engine compartment there are plenty of places to do this, in the house battery compartment this may not be possible.

Many of the newer chargers are designed to minimize sparking.

Cool! Will the Travco's paycheck pay for some of the work on her?

Neat, isn't it ... my Travco in a movie.
Too bad I threw out that burnt-orange crushed velvet captain's chair, that screamed "the Seventies."
Screamed "hideous and eww," too.

One day should fill up both her tanks and cover the winter-coolant thing.

Tomorrow and Tuesday, I am a "featured extra" in Abduction, the Taylor Lautner movie, filming in PGH. Whether a "featured" extra gets paid more is a good question and one I'm anxious to learn the answer to.

But hey, last Friday on Aduction paid my Travco insurance for the year and *if* this 'featured stuff' pays anything resembling good, it might pay the next 6 mos on my 'Splorer.

Oh, there were a couple of pretty cars on the set Friday. A '78 Corvette and a '73 Bonneville --so stock and unmolested it made me cry.

Orange/brown/tan cross-hatch front seats, lime-green dinette table, counter top, and same color vinyl trim in the back in the back.
All I need now is a disco ball, some strobe lights, and I'm set!

Any y'all old Dodgers ever have one that fell on it's face while going uphill? Got mine insured, inspected and tagged today, and while on the way to get the propane tank filled...I encountered the problem. It runs like a champ anywhere but uphill. It has an electric fuel pump at the tank, which feeds to the mechanical pump on the motor. Tried it with the electric pump on, and off.....didn't make a difference. I looked at the fuel filter up underneath it, and it looks like it's been there a few decades! I'm gonna change it tomorrow. I hope that's it....I'm bummed out about it! We have it all fixed up and was ready to head to Bristol and camp at the car show this weekend, but I ain't heading across the mountain till I'm sure it's fixed. Some basic info about the rig. 79 Class C Dodge with a 440,dual exhaust, factory thermoquad. It's been sitting for about 4 months, so it might have some condensation too. I'm gonna pour in a bottle or two of rubbing alcohol when I go fill it up after I replace the filter. It has a plastic gas tank, so I don't think it will be a rust issue. Any ideas appreciated.
