Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: Leeann on 10/01/08 05:28pm

Yes, we carry 2 spares. No, the rims are the same all around - we do it because in general, when one dual goes it'll take the other. And we had access to an extra rim, so what the heck.

We'll probably change that mounting, though, to get more weight off the tail.

Cool! How did you win it? In a cook off?

Do you have pictures?

grillin,,, my son lives in SC... I was just back there this summer for the first time... next time I'm there we'll have to eat some BBQ..

Thanks LeeAnn, My brother found a rim and a brand new tire that fits my rig, so I may look into the double spare thing.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Woo Hoo.... got the furnace fixed last night. Didn't need any parts. Just a hack saw. No, really, a hack saw. The furnace is a old model that was made from Cast iron, not aluminum like the majority. Over time if it is not used, they tend to rust. This one had completely closed the slot for the flame. A little hack sawing to open it back up... then a little cleaning while at it, and we have heat.

Another bonus. While that was torn apart, I found a mess o' wiring. and in that mess was some speaker wire. I found out why the stereo sounded weird in the house. PO for some odd reason had wired the two rear speakers together? So,I pulled those apart, figured out which was which and put those back together so I now have a right and left.

New project coming up... I'm trying to find some of that fake tiling sheet stuff I can use for a shower surround. At my local DIY shops, all they seem to have is COMPLETE surround kits. A couple hundred dollars at the cheapest, and all of them have fancy moulding for soap and such. Don't want that... just the plain fake tile stuff... but no-one seems to carry just that. Any suggestions?

Oh yea, one last thing. I picked up a new fuel pump and coil to try and correct my stumbling problem. I was poking around the engine with my mechanic friend, and that was his suggestion. So for $35 we'll give it a shot.

Eyeteeth,

I just saw some fake tile sheet in Lowes. It was in the molding dept. It seemed to be made of masonite with the fake tiles on one side. They also had sheets of textured plastic.

Congrats, eye - that's essentially what we had to do to ours (but we used a razor knife and a putty knife). If you look back something like 100 pages, you might see it [emoticon]

Here's one of the pics, though...

Show off. [emoticon]

Actually... I usually have a pretty good memory. Don't remember that pic at all. Wonder if we have the same model. My friend at the dealership made it sound like they didn't do too many cast iron burners.

I don't know if he tries to make me feel better or not... but he was telling me mine is probably one of the best models ever made. Except for the rust problem if you don't use 'em... they're pretty much bullet proof.
