Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Does anyone know if these older motorhomes had covers for the double kitchen sink to create more counter space? If not, I will probably make my own.

See Picture In My Profile
I have a 1989 Dodge XPLORER RV Class B - Purchased 10/15/10 IN CASH
Fiance' purchased a Class C 2002 Dynamax Carri-go on 5/1/15 IN CASH
We've got the best of both worlds

Goreds,

Mine had one for one sink. It was Formica on top of partible board and the board had been wet and was falling apart. Now, I just use a cutting board over mine.

Go to Camping World or any RV parts place and get the adjustable sink cover

Here's the one from Camping world on mine

And it probably matched the counter top too... What they did back then was to cutout the sink covers from the counter top "blank" using a template to get two sink covers and then trimming out the rest in order to put the complete sink in.

Remember, even 30 years ago they were trying to get the most from the least... Probably even advertised that they came with "matching" sink covers as an option.

Wow, I'm I glad i didn't risk more cash to buy a new MH. Tioga (Dodge) thirty years old and counting. I feel lucky. All I need is water, sack of beans and rice. Do I need to head to the hills with shovel in hand?

That's what we used. Screwed rubber 'feet' to the bottom, matched to the sink, so it's held tightly in place going down the road.

I will be replacing my countertops and I will save the cutout from the sink to use as a sink cover/cutting board.... I like the rubber feet on the bottom idea leeann.....I will try that

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Yes, that is a good idea Leeann.

NAPA tried to get me a clearance lens for the front and back (Yellow and Red. The one they got for me was too small. Does anyone know where to possibly find these older lens? I have tried EBAY.

Thanks,

I don;t know if you can find replacement lenses or not. I had 1 missing light and one that was missing a lens. I just replace both of them with new. They are slightly smaller but look fine and were easy to replace and only cost a couple or 3 bucks each.
