Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Thanks for the diagrams... but... that's not it. No mounting brackets, the tanks are screwed directly to the crossing rails. You'll have to make a temporary exception on the freaking rule unless I can locate someone friendly nearby with knowledge willing to work for beer, pizza, and steaks...

Damn....now I wish I lived close by! [emoticon]

Ugh...on the later Champion models, they're screwed into the rails. But they're under the spray foam - you have to remove the spray foam insulation, then unscrew/unbolt everything.

Is this one any better?

Not really. Those still show it mounted to different rails. Really.. mounting the tank is the least of my worries. Its the logistics of everything else that needs to happen. And as is the case with something like this... there is probably an order that makes things Much easier vs. the order in which I will probably go about trying to do it.

I would figure there's got to be a way to do the tank with everything else in place... they're just plastic... and it wouldn't make sense to have to dismantle or attach anything from inside/above. (would it?)

I'm just a little flustered because winter came early cutting my work time short... and spring is coming late. I'm usually on the motorcycle long before now, and we still had snow on the ground at the beginning of this week. All my racing (one of hte reasons we bought the RV) pretty much begins and ends around the month of May. So not only do I have to rush to get the thing put back together if i want to race... I still have to try and keep enough $$$ on hand to be able to race... Just not working out the way I had envisioned it when I started.

I've been hounding Craig's list. And Rawhide, and everyother local source I can find. I found one I loved, and it got sniped out from under me. Grrr. Ah well. Keep looking. I will be headed out to PA at the end of the month, with a friend, so I could pick the Ebay "f" one and caravan back with her. It's just tougher to check them out when they are a 2 day drive away. *grin*

Thanks for your look-see, imput.

Okay, try this, since your manufacturer is actually still in business:

Holiday Rambler Product Archive

Welcome to our Product Archive! In an effort to inform consumers who may be considering a pre-owned coach, we have posted the product information for some of our older models. Information for earlier models than these may be obtained from your RV dealer or by e-mailing [email protected], although we cannot guarantee that we still have the older material available.

countess - gotcha, but don't click and buy something just because you've lost out in the past. Make sure it's a good unit at a good price and it's what you want.

Check Pittsburgh's craigslist. There've been a few decent and very reasonable. Plus a way cool 19-ft '86 F-350C in Weirton, WVa w/a 300-6, just like my truck.... Not speedy, but a total workhorse.

What, are you doing the war games thing for Pennsic?

No, I won't just jump on anything. (And, you guys can just keep your comments to yourselves...lol) I am pretty picky about what I need...
Sounds like an idea. I didn't think to check craigslist outside of my area... Doh... Not like Ebay is local.

Oh, don't I wish. No, my girlfriend does a Fairie Festival out there, so I will be out that way for the 1st wknd of May. And then back to Milwaukee, to no job, but hopefully a mh to live in. [emoticon]

By the way Countessa, did you see if Trish could check on that rig for you? Not that she's immediately next door to it, but LOTS closer than either of us!!!

Cool! It's a wonderful thing when they start right up - and a motorcycle, too [emoticon]

We started and ran ours today, along with the generator, but we do it the first Saturday of every month through the winter anyway.

Yep, it was a beautiful day today...and wasn't forecast to be here.
