75 AC is gonna get a ticket for drag racing a motorhome.....[/quote]
Some how I do not this it'll hold up in court. The Judge would ask the officer what he was smoking before issing this ticket...LOL.
On another note: I am out looking at the Heater LeeAnn, I'll be back with questions, I'm sure...

We don't actually have to answer that question, right? ![]() I assume everyone's heard the story of the two well-known NASCAR drivers who were comparing their motorhomes? (It may have been Indy car drivers but I seem to remember them as being NASCAR.) Somehow, they got permission to take the motorhomes for a profile lap around the track. Before long, the racecar driver competitiveness kicked in and suddenly the two were racing their Class A motorhomes around the track at top speed. Check back issues of Motorhome magazine, if I recall correctly, the episode was described in one of the back-page columns on vintage motorhomes. 1970 Explorer Class A on a 1969 Dodge M300 chassis with 318 cu. in. (split year) 1972 Executive Class A on a Dodge M375 chassis with 413 cu. in. 1973 Explorer Class A on a Dodge RM350 (R4) chassis with 318 engine & tranny from 1970 Explorer Class A ![]() |

Hello all! We have a 1975 23 ft Dodge Overland Class c motorhome. 360 Engine. The best 1.500 dollars we ever spent! It is our home at the Phoenix raceway for 2 weeks a year. It looks so cool next to all these 300.000 dollar buses, and all the toy boxes. We absolutely love this thing! |

It's as easy to love these things as hate them; I do both on a daily basis. And it's a delightful reverse snobbery we can exhibit when our paid-for toys won't have to go for grocery or mortgage money. Gas money ...well, that's another thing. |

I've spent many weekends at the Phoenix Raceway, probably have seen you. Although living in Phoenix, I can come home at night. The variety of RV's, Toy Haulers, Trailers that show up at these events, is amazing. I'm sure all of us with "Paid-For Toys", as Trish put it, feel the same about our older models. The "Labor of Love" put into them, busted knuckles and days of laying under them getting to know them inside-out, give us a type of Pride others only enjoy when sending in that monthly payment...LOL. The memories of getting it all together, as well as the trips, gives us a little extra. Gary Webb Phoenix, AZ |
