I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

The Harley plate is a nice touch.

I have a '76 Dodge Jamboree 21' motorhome. I would like to do a complete roof rebuild so I don't have to have my wife go up there and slather mobile home roof sealer anymore(my wife does it because she is only about 110 lbs)plus my vent covers are cracked and leaking, and there are low spots on my roof that hold water.

There are some real nice threads on here with pictures explaining a roof repair where they put luan plywood down and then rubber roofing on a travel trailer, but the roof on my class C is not flat like a TT and I was wondering how this would affect the repair.

Has anyone ever done this? Can you give me any advise?

Ok... figured out the tub. I had to remove the toilet and lay my head by the Hole. :-\ and found where the basket for the tub screws into the plumbing. On the grey water tank, I'll have to find a location to cut where I can easily place a joiner to install the new tank.

I'm still not thrilled about the walls being screwed in from the outside... but after talking with a few people last night, it is apparently not out of the ordinary.

Eyeteeth, 35 years ago when I was building travel trailers that is how we attached side walls, roofs as well. We were building wood frame models but would use hex head screws to anchor cabinets to the walls and roof from the outside. Of course with the aluminum skin you could remove it to redue walls etc if needed. Does make it hard to work without the skin off however. A.

I discussed this some with Griff and he suggested I ask it here. What do you all use for replacement shocks on your dodge class C's. I see lots of dicussion but mostly on the larger rigs. MOnroes? Bilstiens? Kona? Anyone had any experience where they felt the big bucks were worth it? thanks,, A.

Al, I replaced my shocks with Monroe RV shocks (but mine's a 20' A). It made all the difference in the world and they cost somewhere around $40-$50, depending on the parts place you go to.

I think that it's more important to replace them than to spend big bucks...anything new will help. For instance, one shock of each pair on mine were no longer functioning - they'd compress but would get stuck in the down position and it would take one heckuva bump to get them extended again.
