Trish - I got them all. And it's a cool-looking Travco, too (except when it's hooked to the wrecker, that is....). I'm out of town, but I'll put them up somewhere for you when I get back. Relays can and will go bad, or just get too weak to carry enough current (I said solenoid, didn't I? Oops). Ours really was a ground problem but will be too weak for the bigger/stronger headlights. The bf strung all sorts of new ground wires to the frame, not to the skin. Everything now has a redundant ground, just to make sure. We really didn't like having the wipers, for instance, decide when to swipe (on their own schedule) when it was raining. '73 Concord 20' Class A w/Dodge 440 - see profile for photo |

Ratz... just what I was afraid of. Looks like the framework for the interior walls was all fastened from the outside before the siding went on. ![]() Any words of encouragement or advice would be GREATLY apprecited. Better yet... anyone in the Grand Rapids area. lol. I've got the tank disconnected, but it's still attached to the coach via abs pipe. This connection appears to be under the tub/shower, which is of course connected to the drain piping in some way. I can't seem to get enough room to get anything disconected. There's got to be a simple way to pull the tub out/off. The drain is the only thing it's still connected too. I have the bunks part way out as well. I beleive I have passed the point of turning back. BTW... Holiday Rambler advertises their frames have been made with aluminum since 1966. I can tell you that is a load of bunk. This '79 has a wooden frame. |

Holiday Rambler made one of the heaviest trailers /MHs /chassis cabs out there in 76. Them and Boles Aero and Barth... but, oh, those Boleses were cool. Birch cabinets. My, my. Leeann, post when you get a moment. Me, I do not have any more moments, instead I have a motorhome. And this was my idea ... Last time I had an idea that was this messy, aggravating, and expensive it was called 'married.' Got a bunch of thick, dark, nasty paneling off today /tonight. Ditto the bathroom door --what a mess!-- to get matching dark, nasty paneling off. Tomorrow, the inside of the outside door gets it --yep, ooky paneling again. Junkyarded it this morning and did good. Forget what all I got, but it was good stuff. Who needs what off a 76 360? One at the yard, all kindsa goodies on it. I was swiping stuff out of the coach like mad. Whatnhell is this "trailer screws are 4-headed" thing? I never heard of that. Until today, that is. And you're right, eyeteeth, that did sound odd.... |

Hey ya all.....Made it with a breeze....![]() The ole Chinook "Swam" right up that hill no Probem-O. Went 45mph, didn't even want to down shift. As I thought, no camping spots left so had to go up further north to Williams in my favorite little spot. Again, the 2nd climb went well and no problems. Thanks ALL, for your help and advice the last month, everything worked out fine. Although I am going to have to work on this heater, that 39degrees was a bit chilly. If you remember I had taken off the original LP tank, made a line just for the stove (temp). The stove kept me pretty warm, but hate to leave it on when sleeping so got a bit chilly in the morning, till that 1st pot of coffee was on..... Gas mileage was what I expected, about (10-11). With this 36 gal tank, I shouold be good for about 300 miles before I need to start looking for gas. Anyway, trip was OK everything worked out just fine...... Gary Webb Phoenix, AZ ![]() |

I hate the damn things, mostly because POs used something not suitable and rounded a LOT of them. Glad to hear about your trip, Gary. Sounds like you've got a nice, cool-running rig ![]() |

Congrats Gary, nice to know things worked ok on your first outing. Waiting for the day when I get to do the same. I have a long way to go, and not much time to work on it for the moment. Glad you had a good weekend... A.
I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

Here's a picture of Trish's Travco.![]() eyeteeth - Sorry, no ideas here ... I'd be in the same boat you're in. (MLP had a step-tub shower basin.) Most RV's have residential style plumbing so maybe you can find some help on one of the homeowner's DIY sites. I do know the only way to deal with installed ABS (black) pipe is to cut it and use a union to reconnect. 1970 Explorer Class A on a 1969 Dodge M300 chassis with 318 cu. in.
