The '68 22' is OUT of the question...go read his ad on Tin Can Tourists, he copped a serious mail over that one. Sheesh. But still looking. You never know..... On the tin can ad, he says it's located in Fon Du Lac, about 30 miles from me. Now the question is- where the heck is this thing really??? He says he'll have it at Jefferson in Sept. I always go to Jefferson (biggest swap-meet other than Iola) so I'll look for it. The guy really SEEMS to be a flake. I feel better now that you're not considering it. I'd hate to see you get into trouble with it. She ain't purdy, but at least she's slow! ![]() |

So frustrated this evening... going camping for the next three days... and non of my fixes fixed anything. First... and a note to everyone... Thetford claims the Aqua Magic V is a direct replacement for the Aqua Magic III. This turns out to be B.S. I need to go track down some adapters for the water line tomorrow. and fix THAT before we can go any where. Not to mention it's 2 & 1/2 inches shorter and I think I'd be more comfortible squatting in the woods. I'll have to build a pedestile or something for it when I get a chance. Oh yea... the Aqua Magic III sprayed water every where and I couldn't find parts for it. THAT was probably the cause of the rotten wood behind the toilet in the bathroom. I tried replacing the outside "porch" light as the one that was on the unit had no cover, didn't work, and couldn't find any similar parts for. No biggie... except I aparently need an outdoor light with an on/off switch. The one I bought didn't have one... because best I could tell, the one on the RV didn't have one. I did get a series 31 Trojan Deep Cycle installed. Pain in the butt as they claimed it DID NOT come with screw posts... but it did... so I had to rig that to get it to work properly. I didn't want to make another trip back t the store. This was before my light... and then toilet incident. Taking deep breathes... and screaming into pillows. |

eyeteeth, Sorry to hear about your trouble before the Holiday weekend. I also have the Aqua Magic lll which I was going to replace. I was going for the V, for the same reason (can't find parts). Was it just the water line that didn't fit, looks like I'll do some checking before leaving the store. You said that it was 2 1/2in shorter? Was wondering about the seal, did it fit OK? I have a 1977 Dodge Chinook, was going to be looking at it this weekend. As for your porch light, is the off/on switch activated by the door? I have seen many of these operate like a refer door button? Good luck, I hope you get some camping in this weekend.... Gary Webb Phoenix, AZ ![]() |

Crank and mains or what /more? The '66, seller mailed me (8) pics that didn't come through. It's a 2-door Travco...... Sure looks cool. Can I get away with lead additive or change to hydraulic lifters? |

GLW - The Aqua Magic V comesin two sizes, about 14 1/2 & 18. The Aqua magic III seems to be around 16 inches. For my bathroom, I have a cabenite that opens just over the top of the toilet. I would have gone with the taller toilet, but then I would have lost all that cabinete space as I couldn't get the door open. The Base of the toilets match up perfectly, everything fit and bolted up nicely. The problem is where the water line connects. I'm going to need to find a adapter to go from the fresh water line to the toilet as the connections don't match up in diameter. As for the light... I just need to swap it with another $10 light with a switch. We'll get on the road tonight, just a little later than hoped. |

Trish A mechanic here that I trust told me to run unleaded and not worry about it. He tells me the older engines can run on either, but you don't want to put leaded gas into an unleaded engine. The PO ran unleaded, I've been running unleaded... no ill effects thus far. |
