10 new injectors for my V10 are around $300.00.
Can be installed in less than an hour ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
While you are installing them go ahead and do your coils and plugs while you're at it. Another $7-800. ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif) Clean that throttle body too, it might give you a little more power and fuel economy. We all know you need it. LOL! jk
LOL... I did that and it didn't cost me near $800.00 bucks.. Bahahaha..
Thanks, I needed a laugh today.. Grandpa's in the hospital and not doing too good. Probably be the only laugh I have for a while.
Thanks!

I am a big gas truck supporter and recently got a chance to take a 400 mile ride through the mountains of the western half of VA and Tenn in a diesel truck towing a high profile 5er toyhauler.
All I can say is it that ride really surprised me. After everybody on here talking about how effortlessly a diesel tows you are all full of it. It downshifts just as much as a gas truck and runs up to 3100 rpm on 2-3% interstate grades to hold 65 mph and is louder than my gas truck and sounds just as strained as a gas truck. We got single digit mpg and some stations you had to wait for the single pump and couldn't pay at the pump. It dropped to 50 mph on the 5% grades and this was with a tuner giving it an extra 80 horse or so.
All and all I am fully underwhelmed by the towing performance of a diesel truck. It sounded like it was working no less hard although it did it at 1500 rpm less, it was louder, and still got about 9 mpg.
I am not saying it did poorly, I just think people on here give folks the idea that a diesel truck will climb mt everest at 1600 rpm getting 14 mpg towing a 16k 13ft tall 5er and it just isn't so. It will downshift, slow down, and drink fuel just like a gas truck.

That's the reality of it but, what about folklore? Diesels are stronger but, they are not necessarily faster. That and with the diesel, you get to ride around town with your towing mirrors out so others will think it's a big rig!

07 ford with the 6.0, under 100k miles so it shouldn't be worn out. not the best record for reliability but power wise with a tuner it is probably putting out as good or better than anything that came stock from the factory.
my guess at weight is probably 22-23k combined the trailer was 102 inches wide and 13' 4" tall.

I have a similar experience. My friend has a 6.0 diesel and I have a V10, both crew cab dually's. We took the campers and our families to Disney last summer. It was about a 1200 mile round trip. Listening to all of the diesel talk on here he should have run off and left me and only needed to stop for fuel every third time I did (because I have a gasser).
Well, he never ran off and left me, we both had a nice tow. The only perceivable difference was the fact that on grades (regular old interstate grades) he would spew black smoke out of the tail pipe.
Mine didn't.
Oh, and we both filled up at the same times. I am sure he got some better MPG.. not so sure it was THAT much better than mine.
Thanks!

Yes, the 6.0 is a screamer and yes it sux the fuel. I drive one as a DD and I promise you that they are completely different than a Cummins. I would be more than happy to take you for a ride. You can say I'm full of it all you want but I do know the difference and I drive them all including the gas trucks daily. You just had the unfortunate chance to ride in the wrong truck.

Try a 7.3 with tunes. The 6.0 just doesn't have the grunt of a 7.3.
