You have no case to rest bud. I didn't say that I buy my tools from Walmart, you did. If you look back, I said that you can change the injectors with tools you can buy at Walmart. I have my tools and plenty of them. Injectors are simple and if you think otherwise then you haven't done much in the 50 years you have been doing it. I don't have to prove myself to anyone.I'm done........

Your posts would suggest otherwise but, it's been fun. I don't drive a GM so no, I don't have much experience changing diesel injectors.[emoticon]

Exactly! So if it looks like it's hard then everyone will assume it is just like you did. All people have to do is try a little but no it's easier to pay somebody else and then complain at how much it cost. That's like buying a Corvette and then complaining that the tires are $500 a piece.[emoticon]

Or seeing the potential for unrealistically expensive maintenance and buying a Maliboo instead. It's all about choices. I never had to change the injectors in my Cummins Rams. The 12v's got their rockers adjusted every 24~k miles. The injectors would have been a breeze if needed. The 24v '01.5 got a valve lash adjustment at around 40k. It's injectors were staring at me then too but didn't need to be changed out. What is it about the GM that requires injectors so often?

The early GM's had this problem. After '03 or '04 they were good. I think they had some cooling problems for a year or so after that. (don't know that much about the D-max)

the 05 Dmax had egt issues as well. GM had a bad batch of inj and extended the warranty I was told by a friend that has one. I can't say for sure as this is hearsay. I have a 7.3 and just don't worry about it just drive it like I stole it.

You better get you a CS and keep it with ya because that was the 7.3's fault , well and not having any power, but you can't help that....JK LOL!

Power is not an issue per my sig. I have guages and a CTS monitor as well as water inj. I have never had an issue with coolant temps and the tunes and water take care of the egt's
