We're looking to place a support under our living room slide. It's not sagging but since we'll be stationary, we'd like to put some type of support under the slide to prevent sagging and perhaps make it more stable in the very heavy winds we get here.
Does anyone have suggestions what to use?
Thanks

If you put support under the slide, make sure main structure is solidly supported too. As far as supports floor jacks should work well. Make sure they are on solid footing.

Trailer mfg don't recommend supports under modern powered slides. Your trailer mfg can give you there yes/no recommendations.
As the trailer settles supports under the slide can and has caused issues with slide in/out adjustments.

Absolutely not. Every manufacturer warns against using those things and they aren't needed.

Been using them for over 10 years, no issues at all. Even had a tire go flat on us once, no issue. They provide extra stability. They slide doesn't bounce anymore, and is more stable in windy conditions. You only raised them up just enough to hold them in place, you don't try to raise the slide.
Regardless what the neigh sayer's say, they haven't used them or any personnel experience with them. I'll continue to use them. I would suggest you use your own good judgement.

Every RV I have ever owned had either the jacks and/or the suspension settle. If you place a support under a slide that does not settle at the same rate as the RV, it could cause damage or cause it to bind and not close. Manufacturers warn against using slide supports for these reasons. You slide should not sag when out. If it does you have other problems.
