I click on the "RV.Net User" button and the "reset my password". The email goes to SPAM (say what?) but thanks to the tip above, I found it. I click on the link and supply my email address and a new password (the rules for which are pretty loose - 6 - 20 characters?).
That puts me back at the Logon screen and where things fall apart. What am I supposed to enter as "Member Name"? I have always used Carl n Susan on this forum (and others). If I enter that, along with my newly revised password I get a failure.
This is the fail message:
Contains one or more invalid characters. This field can contain letters, numbers, and special characters, such as dashes or underscores. Spaces are not permitted.
Great! My previous Username is no longer permitted?
OK, maybe it really wants my email address as the Member Name and it is related to the Carl n Susan id. So I plug in my email address and my new password. Fail Again! With the same message which is strange as there are no spaces and surely the "@" is allowed in an email addy.
Help! This shouldn't be this difficult.
Yikes. I bet it doesn't allow spaces in usernames.
Things I would try:
- URL encode the spaces: Carl%20n%20Susan
- Email [email protected] and let them know what happened
Let me know if you're still having trouble after that.

Thanks! I tried the URL encode idea. Two issues with that:
1. It is too long for the allowed length of the Member Name. The "n" at the end of Susan is truncated.
2. The same error msg about "invalid characters..."
I have emailed GS to see what they say. Wish me luck

You might try a "hard space" which is CTRL plus space bar. (Or is it shift?)

Well no dice, I apparently don’t have the email I signed up with. And I have a space in my username as well.

I guess I am done as well.
In my previous life I was software development manager for a small company . . . . this transition is not being handled well . . .
I went to the new website and it didn't email me, and it didn't tell me my email is not on file, nothing in spam - so I guess I am not wanted - or the developers are incompetent - completely unacceptable workflow from my perspective.
So I poked around and it appears to be trying to be a social media site instead of a forum (awful user interface for consuming a forum). Can't say I am interested in the new format.
I have already become more active on the "other" RV forum as this one has become quite dead in comparison. So I guess I will just close my browser tab and sign off.
Good luck everyone!

well can't keep my same username as I am with a different email provider than the one, I signed up with over 10 years ago... Imagin that someone would change email accounts eh.. its beyond me why they can't use your current email in your profile instead of the one you signed up with.
Also, I agree with a previous post, no truck camper, I can get everything else from other forums, but good truck camper forums are hard to find.
Finally, is there a way to hide forums you don't want to see in the new one like we can in this one? all and all I am not sure I like the set up still, not quick for checking specific forums, get paragraphs instead of just a subject line so you have to scroll multiple pages to see what you used to in a glance. we will see

Is there an "Active" or "Newest" post tab?
So far I see nothing that I would consider an improvement. It going to be much harder and more time consuming to use IMO.

My Profile shows my current email address not the one I signed up with 17 years ago. I don't know how it was updated to current but it doesn't matter if I can't login.

I agree. I just tried to browse a bit and not having active or newest spanning all sub forums will in the end be too much effort and less enjoyment.
THink Im going to pass.
Y'all have fun.
