ON a side note, the ceramic tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 725 lbs or 5 lbs each
The granite tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 870 lbs, or 6 lbs each

Total additional weight added 145 LBS, which is about 18 gallons of water

Curious how the 1595 pounds of flooring only adds 145 pounds. It doesn't seem like there would have been 1400 pounds of carpeting.
It should be beautiful, though.

Hi Lou, I was responding to a previous post on how the granite tile would add more weight.

I am removing the ceramic tile, and replacing it with the granite tile.
So if my math is correct 145 lbs is the difference in the weight.

ON a side note, the ceramic tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 725 lbs or 5 lbs each
The granite tiles at 145 sq feet weigh 870 lbs, or 6 lbs each

Total additional weight added 145 LBS, which is about 18 gallons of water

Also if I get back on my diet and stop eating chocolate chip cookies, the weight difference will be down to 100 LBS [emoticon]

We drive a Prevost and nearly all of them have granite or marble flooring as you likely know. The prep is everything and it sounds like you have that just right as well. Tile is certainly heavier than carpet, I just saw mostly carpet in the pictures you posted.
Keep us up to date. I know you will love the results and your workmanship looks to be top notch!
