Sucks. But I am sure they have CYA signs stating they are not responsible for any damages that occur while on their property.

I'm sure somewhere on the work order it states that CW is not responsible.
Thats standard for any repair shop.

This is common in the insurance industry. Your insurance pays you and then surrogates against CW to recover their cost.. Your insurance bears the cost of litigation and recovers if they win. If you are not insured, then you have to sue CW and bear the cost of litigation.
The signs mean nothing.

How do we know the guy's trailer did not start the fire and burned down the entire CW building? Would he offer to pay?
Otherwise yes everybody's own insurance pays for what you own. The insurance companies can work out the details of who is ultimately liable.
