What kind of experience has anyone had dealing with and purchasing an RV from Camping World? Good or bad? How is the service after the sale? Are their RV's overpriced? I've seen some campers I like on their website but I'm torn between purchasing from a mega corporation or a family owned type of RV dealer.

Search some You tube videos to answer your question. There are a lot of very unhappy folks who purchased from the Big Guys....but you get to decide. I like the small mom and pop places for personal service and care after the sale.

One major manufacturer will pretty much authorize anyone with certifications to make warranty repairs on their units (not just their own dealers)....except CW.....

Remember, CW is not the only mega-dealer -- there are plenty of them (most with better reputations than CW, IMO). Price-wise, I've found that the large dealers are more likely to take a slim profit deal since they are higher volume stores than the mom & pops. Of course, that warm fuzzy feeling from the mom & pop store, and service after the sale, might easily trump a lower purchase price offered by one of the big boys. All food for thought. Best of luck!

Its all about the $$$$$ … IF you save enough dough to make a difference it worth it… we have purchased feom BOTH mom and Pop places and big super stores… To me, an RV warranty os pretty short, alot of RV owners make their own repairs, so jo need for after the sale service.
FWIW- my daughter purchased her 21 Vibe from the Lakewood Camping World and the experience was good.. she has had it back twice for service with zero issues.. The RV was done when they said it would be, and the work was right.

I have done both. Our 22 mallard we bought new from CW....salesman was great, service department was great, finance dept not so much (I think this about all dealership finance depts anyway). But everyone is going to have a different experience at any given CW, or even working with mom and pop.
If you find one you like don't let its sales location (CW, M&P, other dealers) deter you from the purchase if it is truly what you want/like.
