IMO, you are beating a dead horse. Eventually, you will realize (given your specific application) that you can't run your RV off batteries alone, . . . . you need some other form of power. With the space you have, current battery technology simply can't store enough electricity to meet your current needs. It doesn't matter if you decide to use solar, wind, a gas generator, or just plug into a pedestal somewhere, batteries alone just aren't going to get the job done.

And another answer I don’t quite understand. Didn’t say I didn’t have a generator. I just want more AH out of my battery bank. And yes, more AH will satisfy my needs.

Yes, I read your post. Did you read mine? Especially the part about "WITH THE SPACE YOU HAVE" I was referring to the space for your battery bank. You could try a nuclear reactor or a hydrogen fuel cell if you want. NASA, SpaceX, and the U.S. Navy use those all the time, but, they may be well out of your price range.

So, . . . IYO, speaking the TRUTH is politically incorrect here? If I might ask, . . . what is your solution? (for the OP's, IMO, impossible problem) Darn, . . . another politically incorrect question.

Somoething to think about when comparing batteries

Lead acid come in flavors some of them even using 20% of the rated capacity is not recommended (GC batteries are DEEP CYCLE meaning 50% is the recommended minimum SOC.. MARINE/deep cycle around 75-80% minimum SOC (meaning a 100 AH battery you can only use 20-25 AH) Starting 80 or more (Do not use more than 20%)

LiFePO4...You can use like 99% of the capacity. and over 90 before you notice voltage drop.

Marine and many 12V batteries, yes, don't want to discharge them much.

However, trojan GC2's show >500 cycle life at 75% DOD. And I've run 3 sets now to between 250 and 400 cycles down to 75% DOD (25%SOC) along with many cycles to 50% or less DOD. By 10-12 years of use, I replace them. 50% DOD gives closer to 750 cycles IIRC. Nice for Golf carts, Few RV's would see that number of cycles unless lots of dry camping.

By comparison trojan 12V true deep discharge show about 1/2 the cycle life of the GC2. Stuffing 12V into a battery the same size as a GC2 = thin plates and life sacrifices in the design.

Chum lee, its the sarcastic attitude that is uncalled for. But you're not alone, there are a few others on rv.net to keep you company.
The OP stated he wanted more amp hours but had space issues. That makes him well aware of what he has to work with. People either should help him or move on to the next thread.

It's not sarcasm, that's just your take on my comments. It's just reality. I deal with reality, . . . . EVERYDAY! Call it what you want.

I don't have unsolvable battery or electrical issues with my motor home, nor do I ask questions about it if I do, . . . here. I figure them out myself. Why do I continue to get demonized, .. . here, for "having the answer rather than the question?" This is why this website is what it is.

IMHO, Battle Born batteries are Way over priced !

Search online. There are several other companies offering similar batteries for much less money.

No argument there but ... some of those discount batteries are way over rated.

For example one was sliced and diced and inspected by a Video blogger
he found their claim of "Low temp protection" was totally false.

But I mentioned Battle Born only because of their deal with Progressive Dynamics.. PD helps to pay for my lifestyle as they are a Michigan Company and the state pays me a retirement pension.
(You might say I'm pro-Michigan Companies).

I like Battleborn because I live in Reno and they are right down the road. In fact on Monday I’m going to stop in and talk to them and see if they’ll let me trade my current batteries on on the 270ah battery.

Yeah, you can just skip answering my questions in the future. I can do without your non-replies. Especially since I clearly said I do have the space for the 270Ah battery, just not three 100Ah batteries. Could have saved yourself a lot of time if you read it.

The question asked was about the re-sale of the lithium batteries. Had nothing to do with space. I have the space for what I want to do.

If you look at my joined date you’ll see I’ve probably been on this forum longer than most anybody else. 22 years now. So I’m used to guys like this. Think they know everything but don’t even respond to the question asked.
