I'm thinking of getting a DISH Satellite system for my travel trailer with a WINGARD PA 6002R Pathway X2 receiver. I would appreciate any input from anyone with experience, good or bad, with this system.

Have you considered RF Mogul?

Trying to understand, you have the dish and are looking at a receiver? If so I use the Wally receiver. The Pathway x2 dish will seek both the eastern and western satellite arcs. Just need access to a clear sky.

I have the X2 and it does a great job. Unless you are planning on running two receivers I would go with one of the smaller cheaper dishes.

I believe the X2 has the biggest dish of any of the portables and it takes a pretty good rain to shut it down.

The Pathway X2 is an antenna - not a receiver. That said, it is the best of the portable automatic Dish Network antennas and can get both the eastern and western Dish satellite groups (meaning you can get HD locals in any part of the country). We've used an X2 with a Wally receiver for eight years and it has served us well.

I've been using a Pathway X2 with a Wally for over three years, no problems and I always get a strong signal. I bought mine off season thru Amazon, I watched it until the price dropped quite a bit.
