The rear sofa in our 2022 Cedar Creek 345IK moves around a lot while we are travelling - especially on bad roads. On one trip it bounced so much that it hit the crank handles for the rear window and bent them so much that we couldn't turn them to open the rear windows.
I have been looking for ways to secure the sofa in place but not having much luck. One thought is to use travel straps like on the dining chairs and run them side to side across the sofa. My concern is that the screws may not be strong enough to hold the sofa in place. And secondly, what is under the floor in the back of the trailer? My luck will be that I hit a wire!
Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas on how to secure the sofa in place?
Thanks in advance!

Usually they have some metal L brackets and 1/2" screws to secure them down. You don't need to go crazy with it, you usually just need to hold it down to the floor and let gravity do the rest.

One of my previous fivers was the hardest riding trailer I ever pulled. It launched a gallon jug of water out of the sink, and it wasn’t even a rear kitchen. It had 2600 pound springs and 5200 pound axles and the springs only had 2 inches of travel Before the axles hit the frame. Dexter told me to go to 3000 pound springs but the 3000 pound springs were longer so I had to move the hangers out but they also had 3 inches of travel. That made a huge improvement in the ride and then I added ez flex and that trailer went to the best riding trailer I ever had.
Do you have springs and rockers only? Ez flex replaces dexter rockers and equal flex replaces lippert rockers. That’s an easy upgrade, if you don’t already have some thing like that.
My current fiver has morride LRE, which replaces the rocker with a box that has rubber sheer springs, and it’s a nice improvement over just springs and rockers. It’s even a rear kitchen and things stay put on the counters.
I’ve also added shocks to my trailers that didn’t have them. Craig

I hadn't thought of an L bracket, thanks Spoon!
The trailer came with leaf springs and the Trailair Road Armor equalizer kit with bronze bushings. I may look at shocks. Thanks C Schomer!

I have it and it's great but to say it "solves all that" simply is an exaggeration. Hitting the brakes and furniture shifting is still going to happen no matter the suspension.

Speed is not the issue. Terrible roads are the problem. And in most cases you do not see the problem until it's too late.
