I just discovered that my 2022 Jayco travel trailer which I bought in February, 2023 has a roof leak. Would a roof leak be a covered warranty item or will they say that a leaking seal (if that's what it is) is a maintenance item?
Thanks, Stephen Gaines

If you haven't inspected the caulking, then they'll probably deny it since that a maintenance issue.
If the roof membrane is bad, then the it should be covered by the membrane manufacturer's warranty.

Start with the dealer. If they won't fix it, contact your insurance company and submit a claim. Don't rely on what others tell you is going to happen because no one knows.

Most RV maintenance info I have read, says check your roof seals once a year. You've only had the unit for 5 months. Don't let them tell you it is a maintenance issue. If they do, tell them they should have done the maintenance before you took delivery.
Good luck!

Only 5 months old? Certainly a warranty issue.
Would you expect a 5 month old CAR to leak? Of course not.

Great point. Somehow we accept the idea that an RV might leak within a few months and certainly within a few years. Why is this acceptable. Shouldn't we expect an RV to be leak free indefinetly?

Hell, we've had our FW for 13 years and it has never leaked.

Please describe more. How do you know it is the roof leaking? Where do you see the water coming from? Earlier you had a shower leaking. Perhaps the two are related.
If it isn't caused by something you did like hooking the roof on a tree limb then yes it should be covered by warranty within the first few months of ownership.
Be sure to limit any damage by covering it and getting it to dealer asap.
