Might be looking for a new TT in the not too distant future. How high pressure and breathing down your neck are they at camping world if you just want to browse? Or would I be better off shopping at an independent dealer?

No two of either are alike. At some they will be there constantly. At some you can’t find help when you need it. A cr@p shoot. Shop at the location with the best selection of what you are looking for. You only have to deal with the salesman a short time. But you are taking the RV home to stay.

Keep in mind that after you buy the camper-you'll probably have to take it back to their Service Dept. for some reason. Check out the reputation of Service Dept.-read reviews, etc.

Yeah, it varies from they are within 2 ft of you at all times...to you can't find anyone.

If it's bothering you, simply tell them that you would like to look and discuss in private and that you will get them if you have questions...If they refuse, walk to your car and leave...odds are they will chase you down. This isn't 2yrs ago when they couldn't keep units on the lot.

At our closest location you cant even get to the units without a salesman unlocking a door to the sales yard and driving you from unit to unit in the golf cart.

Store is good and lots of people willing to help but not overbearing.

Service department is an area void of human life. You could drive your RV through and not worry about having to swerve to avoid a single person.

Someone on here that was shopping for an RV once wrote that a dealer told them they could look around but "don't steal anything".
Rude for sure but that may be one reason they follow people around.

I found mine at an RV show, there were so many people looking that I never had contact with a salesman. That was fine with me because I wanted to look and when I did see what
I wanted I went to the dealer later in the week. I go to car lots after they close when I’m in the market for a new vehicle, that way I can look without someone breathing down my neck.

Just tune them out as they blather on and on and go about your looking and checking and inspecting. The liar will follow you around and around and he may even give an honest answer sometimes. I do my research ahead of time of the units and price compare before setting foot on their lot. Works for me for both trucks and RVs. They can still be useful idiots.

Depends on how it was conveyed and how it was taken. Most likely it was a joke...maybe poorly delivered.

I don't have an issue having someone let me in and out of the yard, so you don't steal stuff but it's annoying when they are all over you the entire time.
