Hello fellow RVers!

So I have a 2015 Heartland Big Country 3450RL. So my issue where I need a little advice is that two of my 6 hydraulic leveling jacks leak down while in storage. So I parked my RV from my last trip in early May with the back four jack retraced and only the front landing gear extended. I went over to my storage facility yesterday to check on it and the two middle leveling jacks (just forward of the axles) had leaked down. One side had extended about 5 inches and the other side about 2 inches. The jacks in the rear (behind the axles) had not extended. I did a quick inspection (not a detailed on just a quick glance as it was getting dark) and I didn't see any hydraulic fluid leaks.

So over the past 7.5 years, that we have had this trailer, I have had to replace every single jack due to fluid leaks and failures. Last January (2022), I had all of the hydraulic lines replaced as they were leaking around the couplers.

So with that said, I don't know why this leaking down. Any ideas on how to try to trouble shoot this issue?

Leaking seals, possible wrong fluid.
Leaking bypass valve. Need to determine make and model of system.

Yep. Only 2 places to leak, both internal, if no oil is seen externally. Jack seals or valve seals.

My 2015 Big Country has a slight hydraulic leak on two of the jacks when stored during the winter , I leave them down when stored , one is the left front, and the other is the left rear ,the middle one on the left does not leak , nor the three on the right side . What's crazy is when I bring them up , and travel everything is okay ,and no more leaks during our travel . Been in Montana for the past month with no leaks when leveled up .They have leaked fluid the past two winters sitting leveled up . I may leave them up this next winter ,and see if the one on the left rear will leak down or leak .

Neither leak enough fluid to worry about ,and so far just have cleaned them up a bit ,and yet to add any hydraulic fluid .

To the OP, how long did your trailer sit for them to leak down ? Is it a big concern say when traveling ? So far what I have going on is of no concern . I have had to recalibrate the level up a couple times to get it to work .
