Hello,
Fridge gets warm when outside temps are high. The freezer is always ice cold and doesn’t fluctuate. Fridge get very cold when outside temperatures are in low to mid twenties ( Celsius).
I checked the refrigerator vent on the roof and I noticed a piece of wood was blocking the vent ( almost 95% of the vent is blocked off). I this a damper that should be there? Or should this be removed?

If it is an absorption fridge (propane) and not in a slide there should be no obstruction in the vent way.

remove if you can but it sounds like everything is working. Park if you can so the sun doesn't shine on the side where the fridge is.

Remove it. There is NEVER any type damper on a RV refer ventilation. Doug
