Changing out a Thetford style II toilet. At the water Inlet from camper the fitting has a rubber gasket inside it. Tried picking it out but it does want to pop out. It's a little deformed and previously leaked until tightened.

So I'm wondering if it should pop out and I can replace it. Or is it built in to the fitting?
Is this the PEX stuff?

Most fittings will leak until tightened. Clean it and tighten it so it does not leak. They are fairly resilient.

Could be a common RV washer: https://parts.unitedrv.com/products/1-2p-cone-washer

The little tabs keep it in place/a little more difficult to remove.

Any RV shop will have them.

Yes, it will pop out and you can get a replacement at HomeDepot like the part Mr. Wolfe shows above.
