I am thinking about downsizing to a Winnebago Sightseer with the one piece windshield. I know the older years had the issue of the windshield frame rusting and cracking the glass. Did Winnebago correct the issue on this modeL?
I knew someone that had a 2008 Winnebago and the metal area surrounding the lower compartments was not primed before it was painted. Nothing but rust was seen when you opened the compartment doors.
I favor the Workhorse chassis which is what I have now.
Anyone have experience with short Winnebagos with the one piece windshield?
Thank you.

I have a 08 Sightseer. Can't speak to the single windshield, but I Never had any rust around the dual windshield frame or any cracking of the glass. I did however experience the rust you were talking about around the storage compartments. I had to refinish every one of them about 12 years ago. No problems since. I too am on a Workhorse chassis. Never looked back on that decision. She still purrs like a kitten.

2007 Sightseer, no issues with ours either. One side of ours was replaced, inspection showed no rush issues. We've had ours since new, no major issues with it.
