Figured I’d give an update.
Well camping world service managers came to my house and took a good look. They admitted to me that the repair did look horrible.
But camping world will not do anything for us. Basically told us that all the water damage was from long ago.
So me being the good cop let my bad cop fiancé loose on them. My very soon to be wife is super sweet but a vicious viper too. She has the corporate CW people once again looking into this entire horrible repair. She is also looking into legal actions. We at least want our money back for the repair.
But I still have to fix it.
The leak is fixed.
So I started the repair to the interior wall.
First I cut 1/4” plywood and used contact adhesive to glue it to the interior side of the outer fiberglass skin.
Then cut 1/8” plywood to patch the interior wall.
Then I made a form out of 3/4” plywood and 2x4’s with an old bath towel on it and pressed it up against the outside of the camper to keep the wall flat.
I did the same thing for the interior wall.
Then I injected expanding foam.
It came out good!
Seems like a solid repair!!
The walls stayed nice and flat except where CW used all the horrible bondo.
Now just gotta get some wallpaper to finish up the interior.
The expanding foam has quite a powerful expanding effect.
Definitely had to brace the walls to keep them from bulging out.
Hopefully it holds up.
We are going on a trip over the July 4th holiday. A 7 hour drive so that should be a good test.
We are still feeling screwed by CW. This was an almost $5k repair I paid for and it was not done correctly. We are not done fighting with them.

Cracked where? Off the inside corner of a slide opening?
