Weird…the cheapo in-line regulators like the first one seem to do just fine. Avoid like the plague? Lol
Must be another Geezer.net wives tale!

PS not saying they don’t limit flow. I suppose they may but it’s never kept us from doing dishes, taking a shower or flushing the terlet.

It's either a kink in your hose or a clogged screen somewhere. One trick I learned is to always turn on the campground spigot for a second, turn it off and then hook up your pressure regulator and hose. It seem earwigs and other critters love to take up residence in the hose bibs when no hose is hooked up.

If you don't blow them out of there before hooking up you will find them blocking the first screen.
