We sold our class A while downsizing. The new twist is a great murphy bed. Our question for you is will it close if we purchase a gel topper?

Measure the clearance and the topper. [emoticon]

It may close but may not stay closed due to the weight of the topper.
Try one and see. Report back. Others may want to know.

I would roll the gel topper up and use 2 old belts to keep it rolled up. We do that for a topper for one of our beds and find it easy to store.

Before you buy one, find out how much it weighs. Try to find a similar total weight of a selection of objects, scatter them around the bed and see if the mechanism can handle the weight.

Be sure to report back with your findings in case others wish to know. [emoticon]

We own a Winnebago View 24D which has a murphy bed. We added a 2" foam topper and the bed still closes fine. It would depend on the model of motorhome you buy though.
