Looking to change to a slow close open front seat. Will standard house styles work.

Had to remove toilet because while traveling down a washboard road for 5 miles yesterday, and taking my time, the porcelain top came loose from the base AND the medicine cabinet broke and fell to the floor. There was shaking but didn't realize what an effect it had on my rig. Happy to say my black tank is very clean as I look into it.

Some reviews I read about replacement seats specifically for the Dometic were not very positive. What say you....

UPDATE: after visiting local hardware store the home version of seats are straight across, from mounting hole to mounting hole. The domestic is U shaped to allow for the water line in the back.

We have the same toilet, and I would like to replace the seat also, but I don't think a standard toilet seat will fit.

This Kohler from Lowes fit. The difference is it doesn't have the plastic shield that covers the pipe on the rear. The one I found with the shield of unknown quality was twice as much.
