It's only when you get up around 15,000-18,000 lbs. that you need a real hitch.

That makes two of us.
I actually requested the B&W and the trailer dealer I went to said they would sell me one but I would regret it. “Everyone is going to these Anderson’s”. Big selling point was to be able to lift it out of the truck by yourself. It’s incredibly light. I like it so far.
Typing this message while sitting in the automatic car wash. I don’t miss the training wheels.
WOW, I am guessing they make more selling the ANDERSEN. Incredible they would say you would regret it. Sure would like to hear that one.
Did they mention the ANDERSEN can cause bed deflection?
2-1/4 inch drop should put the truck basically level, NOT rear low. You need to park on level ground and take a pic directly from the side.
Mine sets 55" top back corner of the bed loaded or not in ALT ride mode. I think you need to drive it for a while before adding bags.

Changing your truck tires I would go NITTO RidgeGrapplers. Lots of miles on mine and they are quiet.

It's a joke son, not a comment that is meant to be taken seriously.

FYI your very thin bed is supporting the fore and aft movement of the hitch.
B&W years ago with their original Companion had that issue and they re designed it to support at the bottom of the corrugation that is solid to the cross member and then to the frame.
Where are your safety chain attachments?

Don't think you should call this scholarly gentlemen "SON". Truth be told he was making a joke, so jokes on you.

Since when does a fifth wheel need safety chains?
