This thread reminded me that one of the reasons I didn’t have a B&W slider was cuz they’re heavy. Then I thought my winch doesn’t care about that so:

I'm sorry but that B&W comes apart to make two VERY MANAGEABLE pcs. I'm 65 and can easily lift each pc with one hand. I think people need toys for their implements.

I am a patient person, willing to wait for pics, hopefully sometime this week.
12V makes his living, fishing for salmon and shrimp. Salmon are biting, he has to get up by 4am, fish hard all day! Even so, he will do what he said he can do, at his first opportunity. He also said he will be doing a Wheatie diet, as needed to accomplish this feat. Tick tock, tick tock, all we can do is wait for it.

Jerry I am happy to post the long awaited pics right after your nice post.
One hand lift on each piece as promised.
Pic#2 I could not get a good grip on the square stock. But I did as I said I would, I picked each piece with one hand. ![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)

OK for those who want to know how to remove their base without a lift. Here ya go, it's all about how you handle the weight.
Note I did not need a short ladder to lower the base.

Now let's put the base back into the bed. Work smarter not harder!!! The short ladder was my friend, I know my limitations.

Wow...lots of great pics, worth the wait for sure! ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
This is the man, that many of us wish we still were. Not only a healthy, strong man, but a man that backs up what he says. You did a great job 12V, especially with that heavy bulky base.
I could lift that head piece (about 75 lbs), maybe with one hand?? I could not lift the base, up/down from the ground, by myself, using both hands.
Thanks for taking the time to post these pictures, with explanations.
Lots of great folks on these forums, many of which I like to call friends. We can always choose our friends, relatives...not so much! ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
