Wanted to see if anyone here has had RV Armor roof coating installed and if so, are you happy with it? Any issues, concerns etc..?
Im contemplating it, and having discussions with them about getting it scheduled to be completed. I don't have any roof issues currently. Im planning on keeping this RV, so it's a worthwhile investment for me to do now.
I did ask them how it would work if I had to say, replace my antenna afteer the RV armor was installed. They said they could train me how to do it, and provide some materials and they would still honor the warranty. Seemed pretty good deal to me.
All my correspondence has been positive. Prices are going up, never down. I looked into it a few years ago, and it was $100 per linear foot. It's now up to $165 per linear foot.
Any first hand use comments would be greatly appreciated.

From previous readings of this topic on this forum some have had success with Armor roof coating and others said it was a failure with partial or full peeling. A search of Armor roof coating on the forum may find these previous discussions.
I have only and successfully used liquid EDPM Dicor several times many years ago. Easy and mess free quick application.

All the references I've seen to RV Armor roof repair/reseal have been positive. Of course if you spend that much money you tend to look upon it most favorably. ![[emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif "smile") It does appear to do the job most admirably, but no first hand experience.

We had ours done about 2 years ago - the guy came out to the campground we were staying in, and took 3 days to do the job. So far it looks great, and we have not experienced any leaks during this year's record rainfall.

Just wanted to give you a data point just in case you are interested...
I have no experience with RV Armor Roof material. At those prices, I'll just assume it is a great product (...it better be!).
I assume you are talking about an EPDM or TPO roof...
Keeping water OUT should be of utmost importance to RV/TT owners.
I have had multiple RVs and on each one I have resealed the roof and vents and joints with Dicor Roof Sealer and have been 100% satisfied. It comes in a 1 gallon can. Costs $80-90 per gallon. My 30' RVs only seem to use 2 gallons and that was 3-4 coats on all the vents/joints/edges and 2 coats on the rest of the roof surface. It has the consistency of about 2-3 times as thick as regular wall paint. I have been thrilled with the results, have never had a leak, and it only cost me (DIY) less than $200 per RV. It only takes a few hours to do. If you can paint a bedroom in your house, and you are comfortable getting on the roof of your RV, you can easily do this job. Even if you hired a handyman, I bet you could get it done for less than $1000.

I check my roof a few times per year. So far, all looks perfect. It is possible that I might need to redo the job at some point in the future...perhaps it isn't as permanent as RV Armor...but if I do it will only cost me another ~$200 per RV. I suspect it will last at least 5 years but we'll see.

We have had RV FLEXARMOR put on 2 yrs ago. IMO it's the only way for a rv roof. I used DFW RV Roofs in Denton Tx do ours. It must be done in thier shop as it's a special spray application. .
It's not cheap but I'm glad I did. Lifetime transferable warranty which I've never seen another rv roof product with that kind of warranty.
RVarmor and RV FLEXARMOR are two very different products.

As sayoung stated RVarmor and FlexArmor are two different products. Flex Armor a far better product and installation has to be done in a shop.

I requested a quote for Flex Armor.
If you have to replace something like your antenna, skylight or something along those lines, how would you do that with Flex Armor?
For RV Armor, they told me they would walk me through the process while tech is at my house, Then, If I need to do that, I can get material from them, do the work, take some pics, and once they see the finished job, they will still honor the lifetime warranty.
Just curious with a spray on application required to be done in the shop, how you would handle replacing something?

Well, you asked Flex Armor, why not ask RV FlexArmor? Get the info directly from the horse's mouth.
