We will be traveling from Cody WY to Fishing Bridge RV park in a 30' Class C. This will be early September? Is this a good route, or should we go south and come in a different entrance?

That is the best access! Biggest problem could be people!
Road is a good two lane. Very curvy inside the park dropping down to Yellowstone Lake.

I agree that it is the best route to Fishing Bridge. I think the biggest problem will bw the bison. We sat for over an hour watching bison wander around the road. The rangers tried moving them off of the road but there is only so much they can do to chase 2000 pound grumpy fluffy cows off the road. We really enjoyed the up close encounter with the bison. We got up close photos, imagine being on the other side of the window from a bison. Very nice trip.

ditto to the route between Cody and Fishing Bridge. Keep your eyes peeled for bears. We had the great luck to see 3 bears just off the side of the road and had a place we could pull off and watch until they disappeared.

It's a modest but steady climb with nothing unusual. Unless the drivetrain is defective and way underpowered....shouldn't be an issue.

Any other route would be a LONG detour.
