Depends on the vehicle I guess. We have done about 19000 kilometres in the last year.
Most of it towing our travel trailer all over Canada. But yes. Some EV’s are more designed to be commuters.

What I am going to state is this: some of you younger folks are going to live long enough to remember the Good Old Days: When electricity was an unbelievably cheap dollar per kWh. Shoot with the way inflation is going that may be five dollars an hour.
All my life I've prayed for the discovery of superconduction and fusion powered boilers. It looks like it'll remain a dream as I rest in the shade of a parota tree
Maybe. But 7 years ago it was 4 times cheaper to drive a given distance with our EV. Now it’s 6 times cheaper.
Cheaper than what?

What street do you live on in Realville? When pressed about environmental impacts the result from the EV cultists are that they suddenly no longer care about the environment or that it never really mattered to begin with. Beyond ironic as that was the entire sales pitch to garner billions in tax payer dollars to kick start and billions more in infrastructure to support this earth saving silver bullet. And rather than substantiate any distant claim that EV's are really saving the world, the result is a shoulder shrug and "well they're really neat and fun to drive".

Technically Joe isn't. It's the rest of us tax paying citizens, many of which want no part of this fiasco. You're welcome.

Yep, it’s just another senseless vote generating Grift (among other fakery) promoted by C - politicians and made viable by endless Gov’t Grant moola to manufacture the bought and paid for pseudo-scientific facts (CO2 ‘BAD’ Gobbledegook…) that some folks fail to even question…

No thanks. The EMF radiation alone is enough to keep me away.
How much EMF radiation do you think there is? and at what frequency (Frequency is important)....
I'm required to know a bit about EMF (But truth be told NOT the specs on a Tesla) I do know that it is possible to contain it fairly on something like a Tesla. I even known how to do it.
On the stuff I work with.. Well "Containment" defeats the purpose so it can't be done.. However I can "Remote" it. (The radiation happens oh. say 40 or 50 feet away so my exposure is limited) and I'm playing with frequencies between 30 and 300,000 MHz where the body is more sensitive.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Mex,
I can't beat you on fuel--but my power bill is lower than yours. I use less than 4 kwh per day.
That is a bit of a swindle as it does not include space heating nor water heating.
I did spend BIG bucks to have an extremely efficient heat pump installed.
