I have an RV on order and the manufacturer sent me an e-mail saying they now offer the RecPro RP-AC3400 as an option to the Dometic. It's a heat pump, so it can heat as well as cool, but most importantly, it's quieter.

Has anyone tried one of these?

Search the net, they have a growing base of happy owners, mostly because of lower sound levels.
They are made by Houghton,an Aussie company(was) now owned by China.
