Didn't have Covid, tested at doctors office, but did have an upper respiratory infection that has the long lingering cough. She says there are like 8 things going around. RSV is the big one, mainly in younger children. I'm in a 3 year RSV research study, about half way through it. Tested negative for RSV.

México (just to be clear)
I had a chat a few days ago with a doctor whom I've known for forty years. A thoratic surgeon organ transplant surgeon with the federal health system (IMSS)
According to Dr Enrique. Every diagnosed Covid patient that was admitted to ICU was unvaccinated. All were 70+ years of age. And the strain is indeed the latest BB variant. The 200 bed (first tier grade) hospital had 13 Covid patients.
Unlike the USA over 70% of the three inoculations permitted were non MRNA. And yet 100% of the intensive care patients had no shot at all according to the surgeon. It's not a debate over mRNA, rather an example of pure statistics.
He said all patients being treated for respiratory distress are tested for COVID . He said Influenza Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Covid are all subsiding in Mexico but Covid remains stubborn and new cases are not limited to just the elderly.

Well I guess Covid is back. Grand daughter got it in her college. It is hitting a lot of the students hard. She has been sick for over a week. The pills have seemed to help a little.

Yep, like all viruses it never really left. They just mutate to bypass vaccines. I tested positive Sunday. Fever, headache, coughing, but starting to feel human again after 5 days. I've had Covid before, this is the same symptoms but going through it much faster. Despite quarantined in a in a spare bedroom, DW has it now. I think this mutation is not really affected by the vaccine or meds. It's always a race, Viruses mutate faster than science.

Can't wait for that updated vaccine due out sometime in September they say. Any protection is better than no protection.
