 Sure. On my BF, at first look it looks like the are held on with six screws. Look behind the fiberglass and wood, however, and there's a ~3X4 backing plate.

 We don’t plate TCs in Montana.  DMV said that’s what the front plates are for when I asked about maybe not seeing the rear truck plate.
