To clarify, I am not intending to put one in my camper (I do not have one anymore...)
...but, I recall an article or topic post some years ago about an upscale camper (I think it was a TC) that had a very modern, sleek and efficient wood burner it it. I am trying to find that post or article to investigate to perhaps install one of those for my house renovation.
As I recall, the stove was cylindrically tall and somewhat small for the heat it was able to generate.
I think it was manufactured by a company from Northern Europe(?) and was not cheap.
Does anyone recall that stove that I am trying to describe?

I don't remember the article but, I do remember looking for small wood stoves.
This may be what you are talking about or it's something similar.

You find them occasionally on boats. Basically the size of a bread box (does anyone have those anymore or is the reference too dated?).
Make sure the chimney is properly installed, so it doesn't set the place on fire but otherwise fairly simple.
If you just want to play with fire, they will work but given we get a good month out of a 20# propane tank in moderately cold weather (and we have 2 tanks), not a practical solution.

There was a member that had one in his Class C. Also from Colorado. He hasn't been back for a long time but I found it in my archives.

Wood for a campfire is fun. Wood for space heating takes lots of time and effort.

Working in house remodeling I have seen lot of things that "work" but I would never consider them safe.
Seeing all the crack on wood "sealing rings" in linked post, brings some of those memories.
Sheetmetal behind the stove will not help much when you have it lined against plastics and vinyl.
You need 5/8" drywall or even better Wonderboard for fire safety.

Try looking at winter camping websites as there are a good number of small woodstoves that people use quite safely in tents. Various sizes are available and can be used for cooking.

I personally wouldn't do it since it uses kindling sized wood and takes up way to much room.
