Why make cheap Tesla when they cant meet demand for their expensive models?
Want cheap get Chevy Bolt
Yes. That is the elephant in the room. They haven't produced the base Model 3 they promised so why would they make this low margin car when they are a capacity with the higher profit vehicles.
They need to keep perfecting the middle/higher level product and branch out to new markets later.

Current base M3 is $37,990 in the US.
The M2 is slated for the China market and could be a bit before it gets to the US.
And just got dropped to 36900 yesterday.

Wait a minute, didn't they promise a "low cost" model that never really materialized? Well, it kind of did, but this appears to be another "I'll believe it when I actually see it in the flesh".
Heck, they're still working on getting the semi from 3 years ago, and the pickup from two yeas ago, out and about.
But anything to keep the hype alive.

Quote: Leave it to the crews of Giga Texas to show how it's done once again! Not only are we learning how a building goes up at break-neck speed, but we now have learned what to do with all of the snow and ice that has befallen the Austin area! So simple when there's proper motivation and resources!

Yesterday it dawned on me that it’s a 6 stall charging site. For giggles I went on the Supercharger site and sure enough it said, Windsor CA coming Q1 2021.
It’s a great site for one, just off 101, with food, hotels etc easy walk right there.
I’ll let you know if it is laid out to support a tow thru.
Yah please do. That will be important for truck customers going forward.

The rear view answered my question on how the cab articulates when there is no seeming gap between it and the trailer.
It appears there is just a wing-like flap the covers the gap between the cab and the trailer that move and follows the angle of articulation. I first thought an accordion connections just like the long city buses which will prove a hassle to connect and disconnect when hauling turn around is a costly premium.
