It appears Tesla is under pressure (or Elon is pressuring his tech team) to come up with a longer range battery for semi. Range and re-charging turn-around are the biggest issues on semi.

Don’t know for sure but doubt that would happen. I think the battery in the CT may be structural. Just a guess but have seen some mumblings on the web about that.

That's actually bad news for the timeline for my Cybertruck order.

And I thought Tesla is researching on the use of the more readily available and plentiful soda as material.

Quote:

Ever since Apple and other Big Tech companies hit a market capitalization of $1 trillion, many sectors are revving to follow suit—including the automotive industry.

But among those car brands racing to reach this total valuation, some are closer to the finish line than others. This visualization uses data from Yahoo Finance to rank the world’s top car manufacturers by market capitalization.

What could this spell for the future of the automotive industry?

It’s clear one company is pulling far ahead of the pack. In the competition to clinch this coveted title, Tesla is the undoubted favorite so far.

The electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy company first became the world’s most valuable car manufacturer in June 2020, and shows no signs of slowing its trajectory.

Now, I'm beginnig to regret that my son left Tesla. I could have asked him to sneak in to check whether CT is being assembled in Fremont like they did on their other new lines.

He is the one who told me that Tesla was planning to launch a pick-up truck as they are reversed engineering an F-150.
