Need an aluminum trailer with angles and corners to match the CT style. Not sure I get why a "basecamp" is so small. May need off pavement modifications too.

The Basecamp X is made for off pavement. Airstream has a myriad of trailer models and sizes.

Scuttle-butt says the powered base camp will be north of $100,000.

That's almost double order of dual-motor Cybertruck.

At that price, I should be able to command it for us to see each other on the campsite -- or an autonomous mini Class A.[emoticon][emoticon]

$50,000-$60,000 for a 20 foot single axle trailer, whose highlighted selling points are "Full size spare tire", "Cast aluminum LED tail lights", "Stainless steel front stone guard", "Exterior shower". Such a deal, thanks but no thanks.

The wonders of marketing, and peer approval.

In the video introduction, we look at recent news about a major supplier to Giga Texas, specifically the stainless steel for the Cybertruck manufacturing. Steel Dynamics is nearly complete with their new $1.9B manufacturing plant in Sinton, Texas and they are the supplier of Stainless Steel chosen by Tesla for production of the Cybertruck.
This new facility is about 167 miles (about 270 Km) south of Austin. The General Manager of this new facility says it will be operational by the end of this month, or early February. Although not specifically Giga Texas, this is a major part of the Cybertruck production, and is yet another key indicator of the progress to production at Giga Texas.

Gigafactory Texas on 21 January 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Very cold morning at Giga Texas with ambient temperatures around 27 to 29 Fahrenheit (-2 to -3 Celsius) with some winds, affecting the drone performance and range, but I was able to use a charger to keep the batteries charged up enough to get through a mostly normal flight around the site.
Despite the cold, work was going on both outside and inside all over the site, which was great to see. Also, in my video intro I discuss the site plan and what the east parking area will look like, so I pay a little more attention to that area in the drone images and video to help tie it all together.
In the video introduction, we look at the Site Plan to discuss how the east parking area is being transformed and what it will look like when the construction is completed to help give insights into what we are seeing on the site right now. In addition, we look at a few key areas around the site this morning to highlight the activities and progress.
