Topic: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

Loggers may have found a great use for the Tesla Semi

Hauling logs with a Tesla

Since they will be going up the mountain empty and going down loaded they may be able to regen enough that they never need to charge. I guess that if they regen too much they may have to resort to the mechanical brakes.

Kinda cool. I think there are some mining trucks that do this already.

Nice thought, but there are a LOT of losses.

Production is coming as soon as the Texas plant is built and it is going up fast. Tesla has totally new factories going up not only in Texas but also in Germany and what could be considered one in China. Plus they are in discussions with the governments of India and England about building factories in their countries. Tesla is easily the fastest growing auto company on the planet.

Meanwhile the Semi has been refined in the 4 years since it was originally displayed and several new prototypes are on the test track. Communications with customers has been increased and it sounds like deliveries will start fairly soon.

Latest semi update to customers.
