That also means I need to update the spreadsheet. The 3 sets total cost including state tax amounted to .... $8.52. Since we had a prior total of $11,291.63, our new total amount to $11,300.15.

By the way, the door frames were cut from a single 2 x 3 x8' piece of lumber, which cost me less than $3.00. I also used 1/8" thick hardwood plywood, which was about $10 a sheet. All totaled, those 3 doors probably cost me less than $10, not including the hinges.

Yes, if you pick your lumber carefully, 2 x 3's and 2 x 4's can be used for things other than framing. Just sayin...

Also, the plywood and 2 x 3's were bought a while ago, and have already been added into the spreadsheet, so I didn't need to add them here.

Getting ready for more cold weather this weekend - single digits tomorrow night, and snow Sunday into Monday.

Yea, I know, Bruce. That's a heat wave for you guys up in northern NY. Lol.

That came out good. You may still have to put slats, or rods etc at the front of the shelves. Otherwise the contents will end up on the floor when you open one of doors.

Thank you. I agree that I need something to help keep things from falling out. I wanted to get the bigger lumps out of the mashed potatoes first. Lol.

Yeah, that means, let's take care of the big items first, and we'll take care of the easier items later.

Did everyone get snowed in or iced in? Maybe frozen? Elsie from Frozen was arrested yesterday in Pickens SC for bringing that mess to the state. We did have more snow and ice here than is normal for this area. Our schools have been doing elearning all week because of it. We will be doing it again tomorrow and possibly friday. hope everyone is safe.

We had several inches of snow here in central Pa. Then it rained on top of it and melted about half of it, which turned it into a very slushy mess. Very difficult to shovel or snow blow. Would keep clogging up the blower, so I didn't bother to get it out.

With some sun today, it melted a bunch of it, however, we are supposed to get a few inches tonight as well. Then again, maybe not. In this area, you just can never tell until it's over.

Started working inside the shower/toilet area a little bit today.

This piece of plywood needed to be cut, trimmed and glued into place. This is at the top, overhead, when exiting the shower/toilet.

I have been wanting to add a cabinet over the toilet. This area here will stick out about 10 inches or so, directly over the toilet. I put a few pieces in place temporarily to see how it would play out when standing in the shower, and more importantly when sitting down on the toilet and standing up after using same.

When standing up, I lean front to get my weight directly over my legs and as such, this cabinet area will not be in the way. It's high enough when seated, and when leaning front to sit and stand, is well out of the way, so it should be fine, and give us extra storage. Wahoo!

I dont know if you have ever had a cabinet over the toilet but I have. Years back they sold those over the toilet cabinets on poles. I bought one. I learned quickly that before I opened that cabinet you had to make sure to close the lid on the toilet. Certainly, no fun if you dont.

I have built several over the years. We currently have two in in our house that I built. I build them with a towel rack on the bottom and a recessed shelf.

We used 2 wood bread boxes turned up/side down in the C, one over the toilet and the other over the head door with laches to keep then closed and door struts to keep them open, wife definitly used them.

On the pantry I used the 90 degree metal that is used for the corners in houses with driled holes so that bungee cords can be attached when travelling and one side off when parked for a longer stay, so far they work great, with 3 bungee cords per shelf, also used them for the overhead bins to keep loose items from launchin when the over head bin door is opened up, got tiered off playing catch.
