Welcome back fulltimin. You have been missed. Of course we have had Charlie and Bruce here. I am not sure if they are joking or picking on me. I do admit, at times I can be gullible

I get it. I was a little slow on the 100 lb joke myself. First time I had heard that one. It was a good one though! Lol.
If you want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don't, you will find an excuse.

It was a good one, but being the ditz that I am, it went right over my head. Not hard to do when you are 5 ft tall. LOL Anyway, so glad to have you back. I want to see that MoHo completed, probably not as much as your wife tho!

Years ago I had a guy tell me ... "Everybody has their turn at looking like an idiot in someone else's eyes".
He was SO correct. That also holds true for feeling like an idiot in our own eyes.
Some days I feel like the bug, somedays I feel like the windshield! Lol.

Especially those that cause one to spew forth whatever liquid you are drinking at the time, all over your monitor! Lol....

Well, that was a waste of a good month. Lol.
Little bit of an update tonight.
Back to working on the new sawhorses.
Here's how I cut the mortise for the tenons.
With my router jig and fence setup, I marked my fence, so I would know where the router bit was, in relation to the fence.

I then marked where the mortise should be on the leg. This edge would tell me where to start routing.

This edge would tell me where to stop.

I set the depth of the bit at about 1/4" depth and made the cut. Next was to set the depth of cut an additional 1/4" deeper, and make the next cuts, and so on until the mortise was complete.
I did cut from both sides of the 2 x 3 as my bit was not long enough to go the whole way through.
I ended up with a slot that looked like this. As you can see on this one, I missed the mark a hair on the right side with one of my cuts.

Next was to finish the slot with a nice sharp chisel.
