It won't be too long and I will have some pics of the front of the side wall going back together. Yay!!!
I still have a few pics of the top section of this coming apart, so I want to post them first.
If you want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don't, you will find an excuse.

So far, this has NOT been a great endorsement of the 'Pace Arrow'.

Ya think?
I think this was probably built on a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon.
We also need to remember, this thing is 34 years old.
I would imagine they are built somewhat differently today.
After seeing this one, I don't think it's all that important whether the framing is wood, steel, or aluminum. All 3 will rot with enough of water intrusion - YES even aluminum.
So even if you have an aluminum framed rv, it is not immune.
What is important, is how it was assembled, and maintained, as far as leakage goes.
Anything that leaks is going to cause a problem if it leaks long enough.

We once owned a 1990 Fleetwood Flair, I'm thinking it was built with less care than your Pace Arrow. ![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)
That one was so bad had it been our first MH we never would have bought another.

Now you've got my curiosity going.
How about a couple of examples?

I'll tell ya... I just don't get it
I bought several of these packs of foam brushes. They had different widths, from 1" to 4". I got 10 in a pack for a dollar.

I waited 8 years. I went back to the same store. Now, I only get 6 brushes, and they are 1.74.
I just don't get it ..... ... LOL...
Little bit o' humor there. I know, very little. Moving on......

I was up on a ladder along the passenger's side, above the co-pilots window, and removing pop rivets.
The yellow circles were what was holding that piece of trim on.
Inside the green circle, at the end of the green arrow, was another pop rivet, which was holding the bracket on, which covered part of the trim, and goes up over the corner of the roof.
I removed that pop rivet as well.

In this pic, as you can see, the trim is still hanging, (inside green circle). The reason is, there was another pop rivet, red circle, hiding under the piece of trim that goes over the roof corner.
So, I needed to remove that piece in order to get the narrow piece of trim off.

As you can see in this photo, there are 4 pop rivets holding this piece of trim on.
The 2 at the bottom, which are on the side of the rv, make a little sense to me.
The 2 at the top, which are actually on the top, in the red circles, seem a little out of place.
You can see the one on the right, that I scraped the caulk off, to get to the rivet.
By the way, the broken caulk line on the right, was in tact until I started pulling on the trim.
There was nothing wrong with the caulk here, as it was not Dicor.

Here is what things looked like, after removing the top rivets.
The red circles, show what is left of the aluminum rivets. Things could have looked much worse under here than what they did.
Obviously, there was a leak here at one point, but it was not recent.
